SYFC Lesson Reflections (TOGA)

That lesson started off with using the Kerbal Space Program application to simulated space flight. After that, we got some briefing for the upcoming events. We were later assigned to fly a Cessena 172 approaching WSSL Seletar Airbase from 3 nautical miles away, land and take off (Touch-and-Go). I used two attempts to get this right. In the first attempt, I landed with rather lot of vertical speed. The second one was better, less bumpier and generally has a more steady flight. The video is now on Facebook.

SYFC SketchUp Design

I know this is a rather big design, but I'm not good with working with small stuff. As far as I'm concerned, this design is a totally genuine design (But most aircraft look like that, don't they?).

This, well, is my individual design though. The whole thing was rather hard to model, but soon, I got the hang of it. In the past, I was only modeling stuff like TV sets and vintage computers (which do not have curved lines). Now I finally know how to fully use SketchUp to draw the wing (which is arched on top, for lift of course). What's more, I have just finished the 5th member in my SANA badge project! I'm finally gonna get promoted (that is, if I make sure my attendance rate is high)!
